Blue Bottle Coffee wanted to create a ready-to-drink version of their popular New Orleans iced coffee for retail. Mattson explored different approaches and decided to partner with local dairies to maintain the fresh in-store experience. We developed a production process using the company’s signature cold-brewing method and led early plant trials. The result was Blue Bottle New Orleans Iced Coffee, which launched in 2014 and became available at Whole Foods Market and Blue Bottle Café locations.
