Lori Bush saw an opportunity to create products supporting an intermittent fasting lifestyle and enlisted Mattson to develop nutritious and low-calorie savory smoothies. Mattson created smoothies using organic vegetables and spices, adhering to strict nutritional profiles with 70 calories, 6-7g protein, and 3-4g fiber per serving. Also, reviewed regulatory claims, conducted a contract manufacturer search, and led scale-up efforts. The result was the launch of Fastify’s brand in Spring 2020, featuring a line of smoothies in three flavor varieties.
