Ro Chiu’s homemade furikake seaweed snack mix became so popular that she saw an opportunity to turn it into a marketable product. Mattson assisted in product development, created the brand name “LoloYum,” meaning “crazy delicious” in Hawaiian, and designed the brand identity and packaging. Mattson also helped identify a co-packer and led the scale-up process. As a result, LoloYum launched its Furikake Seaweed Snack Mix in August 2018.
