Martinelli’s, known for premium apple-based juices, wanted to extend the appeal of sparkling juice to casual spring/summer occasions. Mattson formulated the new Martinelli’s Sparkling Blush with the color of rosé wine, a hint of raspberry, and refreshing effervescence. Launched in April 2019 at Costco, it was a success, leading to a national rollout in traditional grocery outlets in summer 2019. The non-alcoholic, 100% juice product became popular for spring, summer, or any occasion.
