Mattson helped JBS launch Planterra Foods, a new entity for plant-based meat alternatives, by developing and commercializing four product platforms: burgers, grounds, Mexican-seasoned grounds, and Italian-style meatballs. The team sourced clean ingredients to optimize the products’ taste, color, texture, and nutritional profile. After creating satisfactory formulas, focus groups were conducted. Commercialization specialists led the scale-up efforts, adjusting formulas and processes to ensure product quality and manufacturing efficiency. The result was the successful launch of Ozo in major US grocery stores, just 6 months after the project began.
