Recognizing the potential of sunflower seeds as a cost-effective and nutritious alternative to nuts, Mattson advised National Pretzel Holdings to create the world’s first sunflower seed snack company. We conceptualized, developed, scaled-up, and commercialized Somersaults, a fun and snackable nugget offering wholesome snacking nutrition. The success led to National Pretzel Holdings applying for a patent for the product and process developed by Mattson.
